We arrived at the entrance if the park about 6:00 a.m., we stretched our legs for a minute, then it was time to make the very treacherous 17 mile drive up the mountain to see all the trees. It was worth the drive, they are so beautiful and so huge and so old!! Wow seems like such a small insignificant word! We took a nice long hike and among many others, we saw "General Sherman", the biggest living thing on earth! How amazing is that! The air was cool and crisp, the sun nice and warm, it was a perfect day!
After our hike we made ourselves some lunch, took a nice long nap (life is hard!) and then we decided it was time to leave and head towards Yosemite.
On our drive to Yosemite we stopped at a fruit stand along the way and there were two really sweet ladies there, we had fun chatting with them, eating their samples and buying our fruit!
